Thanks to\u00a0 grants, it is ECLT who actually ’employs’ the architect, so we have a lot of control over both the site layout and the individual buildings. \u00a0There will be full public consultations as we go along.<\/p>\n
We will have to be mindful, though, of the constraints imposed by the site (underground pipes and cables to work around,\u00a0 \u00a0mitigation of motorway noise etc) and then the need to stay within the ‘affordable’ budget.<\/p>\n
The \u00a0final architect’s designs will be agreed between ECLT (with public support) and our Housing Association partner (who, in the end, are the ones footing the bill).<\/p>\n
