Q16. Will ECLT have input to the design?

Yes.

Thanks to  grants, it is ECLT who actually ’employs’ the architect, so we have a lot of control over both the site layout and the individual buildings.  There will be full public consultations as we go along.

We will have to be mindful, though, of the constraints imposed by the site (underground pipes and cables to work around,   mitigation of motorway noise etc) and then the need to stay within the ‘affordable’ budget.

The  final architect’s designs will be agreed between ECLT (with public support) and our Housing Association partner (who, in the end, are the ones footing the bill).
